Mayatan Bilingual School is a private school owned and operated by the Mayatan Foundation, a Honduran non-profit organization.
Using Honduran and foreign teachers, the school offers instruction in English and Spanish to some 420+ students from preschool through 12th grade. All students come from Copán Ruinas and neighboring communities, and nearly 50% of students receive financial aid. The school was founded in 1991 by mothers who wanted local children to learn English and receive a quality bilingual education. We are affiliated with U.S. 501(c)3 organization Hope for Tomorrow, Inc., and are members of the Association of Bilingual Schools of Honduras (ABSH)
